cj: When I was nine years old I bought the Rolling Stones albums Aftermath and 12X5 at a yard sale for 25 cents each.

kp: What is the first concert you ever attended?
cj: Paul McCartney and Wings in 1976

kp: Ever heard The Banes’ cover of “Hot Chocolate Boy."?
cj: No have not heard their version...

kp: What's the best cover of one of your songs that you've ever heard?
cj: In 1988 we toured the U.S. after the release of Jamboree, in Durham, N.C. a band called Blue Chair did a great fab version of "Hangman". The next night we played D.C. with Unrest; they did a devastating version of "That Girl". After that, we rarely attempted either song because there was no point. Those bands had accomplished the definitive versions.

cj: The republicans and their manifest destiny

kp: Tell us about Bands Against Bush.
cj: Bands Against Bush is a loose knit community of rockers who have had enough of the bullshit that is the Bush dynasty...once we get rid of this guy, there is still his brother and a whole other generation of Bushes to dispose of...it's endless, the battle is eternal.
