Reno 911 Fan Fiction
by Cappy

With the prospect of Thomas Lennon reading this issue of KP I have decided to flex my script-writing muscles for Reno 911. Should Thomas or Ben be interested in bringing me on board they can contact me through KP. I should also mention I would be willing to act as the character I have written. If they do not contact me this will be referred to as Reno 911 Fan Fiction only.

Meet the squad: Apparently there has been some bad news like no overtime pay or something they care about.

Dangle: "On an up note, we will be having a visitor for a short time. My cousin has been placed on unpaid suspension by his commanding officer, so he will be spending some time with us."

Williams:"Where is your cousin from?"

Dangle:"Los Angeles"

Murmurs by the officers. Briefing room door opens. Enter Dangle's cousin Chachi in stereotypical cholo attire

Dangle: "Hey cousin Daniel. Come on in and meet everyone."

Chachi poses aggressively

Dangle:"Oh, sorry, Chachi. Come on in Chachi."

Chachi and Dangle begin to engage in a street handshake which Dangle can obviously not do. Dangle ends his attempt with a little soft shoe tap.

Cut to: Chachi enters in new outfit: gangsta wide-side sunglasses and black bandana (so as not to offend any Blood/Crip Reno 911 viewers); long sleeved shirt with top two buttons done only; black chinos with police stripe.

Wiegel Shakedown: As Dangle waxes romantically about the virtues of his cousin and fun times of a shared youth, Chachi shakes down Weigel behind him at the vending machine. Chachi takes her vending machine purchase, all of the money she has on her, and her firearm. After Chachi exits frame Wiegel leans back against vending machine and hugs herself as she slides down to the floor, sobbing. Cut to one-on-one interview shot of Junior.

Junior: "Chachi has a lot of ink from being undercover for so long. I have a cousin who did tattoos but he was dyslexic and had that attention deficit dis-what-a-ma-call-it. It took him a long time to do a tattoo and then it was backwards or upside down. Man, he could draw a naked lady riding a dragon though, no problem."

Garcia/Chachi ride along. Entire dialog is in Spanish w/o subtitles. Calm small banter escalates into yelling, but falls into camaraderie and an even matching of fiery wills.

Closing scene in the bar. As everyone is drinking and toasting to Chachi, his time in Reno, and his reinstatement in L.A., Chachi plays “the knife game.” As no one watches, Weigel picks up the knife and stabs her hand while trying to play.
