LOVE YOU JUST THE SAME...EVEN MORE
Centro-matic's latest is one of the greatest. I've been writing and re-writing this paragraph for days now and I can't come up with the right words. It's why I'm not a music critic. However, I knows what I likes, and this CD has got it in spades. It's a nice blend of the gut-wrenching ballads and fist-pumping rockers that you see at a live show. Check it out. I give it seven-and-a-half stars, on a scale of 1-5.

My chocolate is in your peanut butter, and your booze is in my cruise.
A lame intro like that only serves to remind us that we should let professionals handle the comedy in this town. At the first-ever TINKLE BOOZE CRUISE, the three hosts did a much better job, and were wearing way better pants. They amazingly entertained two crowds on two levels by hosting TWO SHOWS AT ONCE, while still making adequate fun of Todd Barry's tie. Perfect weather added just the right touch to make comedy-at-sea fully worth the $60 ticket. I wish I lived on that boat, and that they'd come perform there every Saturday night.

And I don't even like Madonna...
Thanks to Cathy Cervenka, I got to be a part of this year's MADONNATHON at BB King's in Times Square. I thought that I could leave, satisfied, after hearing Corn Mo's "Crazy For You." I was wrong. Wilder Selzer did an amazing "Live To Tell" with Sean McCaul on vibraphone, and "Tony Z" as priest passed out communion wafers during the best version of "Like a Prayer" I've ever seen. Cathy, who usually is too "Benatar" to be bothered, made a fantastic hostess, and really pulled off those Madonna looks. Check out her website for upcoming shows.

I'm rushing through this issue and so am purposely forgetting to mention all the awesome stuff coming up in the next few weeks. But come visit me at the LUXX Rock and Roll Garage Sale on September 14th. There will be music, drinks and rock goods to be traded and sold. I'll be there with an assload of kittenpants merch that you totally know you want.
