"DAVID CROSS IS A DOG FUCKER"
This is no news to you, if you've heard David's new CD, Shut Up You Fucking Baby!. Touted as Sub-Pop's "first ever intentional comedy release", this CD could very well save your life. If laughter is truly the best medicine, cancel your health insurance and buy 2 copies of this CD.

In the kittenpants standard ratings, this 2-CD set:

  • is better than ice cream

  • is good to listen to while driving, working, sleeping, or all three (I'm talking to you, truckers!)

  • makes a great gift for your friends, your family, or the girl you have a crush on.

  • makes a horrible gift for Laura Bush, nuns, my Aunt Toni, or Robin Williams' fans.

  • On the Chris Weber scale: "It's real good."

I don't know what else to say without trying to think of something else to say. You might be interested to know that the CD is enhanced with a fun-tastic video that you can play on your "computer". Oh, and it has dirty words!

Just shut up and buy it already, you fucking baby.

TINKLE NYC
Last Sunday was the first Sunday of hopefully several Sundays to come in which your comedy mind can be totally freaked (in a good way) by the shortest, baldest, funniest, and most rock-licious trio of dudes: David Cross, Todd Barry, and Jon Benjamin. This $6 show, which contained AT LEAST $8.25 worth of comedy, is the new sensation of Ludlow Street.

Seriously, it's an excellent show - one I'd pay more for, in a heartbeep. And next week (Jan 19) the lineup of special guests includes Corn Mo!

One slight criticism, which should probably be directed to the venue, rather than the hosts: the no-ticket situation. The room is small, and the demand is high. So come early and get your hand stamped (any time after 6:30). Once they've sold out the room, you can still watch the show upstairs for free, broadcast on a large monitor.

Either way, it's worth it. For more info, click here.
