kp: The magazine looks great. Is it what you expected?
j/k:
Yes. We had very specific ideas and wanted it to look like a magazine, even though we're doing this independent of major backing. We wanted it to look familiar (the record player front and back cover) but be absolutely new and of its time; that's why we concentrate on unsigned bands.

kp: Where can people pick one up?
j/k:
Any of the local music venues and clothing stores, all the bars downtown, and most of the finer S&M dens. Plus your brother keeps it under his mattress, your mother keeps it in her hope chest and your father just shoves it up his @$$!. So, yeah, it's out there. If you can't find it, e-mail us. I'll come over and give you one.

kp: When is the next issue coming out? What new surprises have you got up your sleeves?
j/k:
The next issue is in the works and due out in mid-September. We've got all kinds of amazing shit, too.

One of the reasons we wanted to do a downtown sweatysexydirtyrocknroll magazine, was the fact that there's so much here. We're uncovering some of the gems that set the stage for this NYC rock (re-)explosion and giving a platform to the new stuff that's fighting for the light. We're also working with a porn/art director who uses the city for his stage. His canvas, if you will.

So let us know what you're up to. If you're doing good stuff or really really bad stuff we want to know all about it.
