Dear Gary Pluemin,
Thank you for considering my poem. I am honored that your world renowned poetry critics have chosen my poem over thousands of others. It makes me feel very complete. I have, for most of my life, lived inside a shell of fear and confusion and have never really showed my creative side to anybody. Poetry is all I’ve had in my life to express my fears and shortcomings. I never dreamed of letting anybody see my poetry, because there’s no way to know what someone would think if they read my poetry. Also, what if it’s really bad? So submitting my poem to scrutiny was a major step in my growing process. And I knew that I needed to know what world renowned poetry critics thought of my poem.

However, I am not comfortable, with my poem being read by a real professional. I hope you will reconsider including my poem on the CD compilation. Also, I will not be buying the CD as I cannot afford it right now. I hope somebody else will get good use out of it.
