SECTION III - Comedy!
kp: Who would you say was more influential: Yakov Smirnoff or Gallagher II? 
DC: Gallagher II, no question about it. He paved the way for a new generation of shitty comics. Showing all of us never before seen or imagined ways to rip stupid people off. 

kp: I read you hate getting catcalls of "chicken pot pie" on the street. What if people only recognized you as "the guy from Pootie Tang"? Better or worse? 
DC: Better and Worse both at the same time 

kp: How awesome was Wanda Sykes in that movie? I love her. 
DC: Not only is Wanda great in that movie, but I have a secret crush on her. She's so goddamn funny, and smart, and nice (and married unfortunately) and I don't know why she's not a big star yet. It's a fucking conspiracy. She rocks. 

kp: What is the cheesiest showbiz offer you've received? 
DC: I was offered a lot of money (for me at least, this is when I first got to LA and was hungry) to write the THE ARCHIES movie. But...no, sorry. Also, at the show you guys were at the other week, a guy came up to me and told me that I could write for MAD magazine anytime I wanted. 

kp: Why is Sinbad (the "comedian", not the movie with all the stop-motion animation) SO not funny? 
DC: I think it might have something to do with his fashion choice, I don't know. He's got a lot of energy though, right?

kp: Who else needs to be slagged for being devoid of talent? 
DC: I think the "comedies" on HBO couldn't be more un-funny if they tried. They are so fraudulent and hacky...brrrr. Also I fucking HATE (with a passion that is both rare and disturbing) Whoopi Goldberg, she is so motherfucking UNUNUNUN-funny that it hurts my feelings. She has NEVER said a fucking funny thing in her life, and her "characters" are a step below what you'd find on any college Improv stage on a Thursday. Fuck her.
