An interview with Will Johnson: Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist/Founder/Guy with a lot of slashes in his title/and alleged 'Mean Fucker'

kp: Which place in America is the most fun place to play live (other than Denton)?
Will: I like Chicago and Minneapolis and Austin. St. Louis is good. It's the best baseball town in the country.

kp: What is your favorite song on the new album?
Will: "Members of the Show 'em How It's Done", maybe.

kp: Has anyone ever found a mean bone in your body? Did they throw it in the ocean?
Will: I'm a mean fucker.

kp: Okay. Have you ever broken the end of a bottle in front of a meanie and said, "It's go time!"
Will: No, but I got into it pretty good in the 8th grade with Mike Lazar. I think it went something like:

Mike: "Skateboarding's for pussies!"
Me: "I'll tell you what's for pussies. BMX!"
and then, wham! Two ninety pound white kids are brawlin' up and down Woodside Drive. Nobody really won given the fact that we were instantly hit with the hard truth that neither of us really knew how to fight. I did once meet Tori Spelling, though.

kp: That's one of the greatest stories I've ever heard! If you had tickets to a Green Bay Superbowl game or a chance to play Farm Aid what would you do?
Will: That'd be a weird situation. If it was sideline seats vs. having to deal with The COOG all day, freakin' Green Bay all the way. But if it was nosebleed rafters vs. singing with Willie and Neil and Petty, maybe Farm Aid.

kp: Would you rather have a baby or a robot?
Will: A robot.

kp: What kind of bug is the scariest?
Will: Scorpion. They've got that hard-to-get, intimidating and cool look down. Does that count for a bug?

kp: Yes it does. Which of your bandmates has the smelliest feet?
Will: I don't really know. We got some FebreezeTM for the van prior to the last couple of road trips, and I think it's got me thinking that everyone actually smells pretty good.

kp: Do you think that Peter Criss was really replaced by a homeless person during part of a KISS tour?
Will: WHAT?
